As we begin to review the amazing applications, we are reflecting on the upcoming election. The stakes have never been higher and we must ensure our QTBIPOC led grassroots movements are fortified and nourished by being well-resourced. As of September 2024, 530 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills have been introduced with over half of those bills directly impacting the Southeast. Further, political candidates are shamefully using LGBTQIA+ rights as a wedge issue with voters, perpetuating an environment of hostility and discrimination.
Even as the horrors persist, QMF is thriving and our sights are set on growing to better fight with and for our siblings.
