SVA Seeks Talented Story Teller(s) to Uplift Our Last 10 Years!

Southern Vision Alliance is celebrating 5 years of providing infrastructure, capacity-building, and assistance to youth-centered organizations and programs. SVA supports leadership development and base-building work for social, racial, and environmental justice, along with gender equity, LGBTQ rights, and education justice in the US South.

One of our flagship programs, Youth Organizing Institute (YOI), is celebrating its 10 year anniversary. YOI is a popular education leadership development program dedicated to empowering the lives and experiences of young people. YOI’s mission is to stop racism & school resegregation, challenge the school to prison pipeline, and make schools safe for LGBTQ youth.  

Our alum, Saif Wideman, an amazing graphic artist, is creating images that will anchor a multi-media project to commemorate our work and to ground us in our fight for liberation for all.  

To complement Saif’s art, we are seeking a skilled story teller(s) to help with our Annual Report and to help capture stories of the past 10 years.
