tilde hosts Interpreting for Social Justice convening

by | Aug 10, 2023 | Movement Building

On July 1st and 2nd, tilde Education Fund (tEF) hosted an “Interpreting for Social Justice” workshop in which twenty-one participants from across North Carolina built their skills and analysis around interpreting from a language justice lens. Most participants came from different grassroots organizations, while others joined as independent language workers. This workshop curriculum was first developed 20 years ago at the Highlander Center, and tEF was honored to host this iteration at the People’s Solidarity Hub.

The event was co-sponsored by El Pueblo, Resiliency Collaborative, Southern Vision Alliance and received donations from Cocoa Cinnamon.
